Virtual On-site Technical Support

Sending the seemingly right technician to the wrong job not only prolong the support efforts, but also resulted in unhappy customers. MyIVO helps to bring the most qualified support consultant to your customers "virtually" - without on-site visits.

Using MyIVO to privide virtual on-site technical support is as easy as 1-2-3.

Through MyIVO Web Conferencing screen-sharing, customer can share his/her PC screen over the internet with a qualified technician - both parties communicate and interact "visually" while discussing problems and resolutions over the phone. The technician may also invite other "expert" (to the Web conferencing session) for assistance.

Technican may remotely sign on to the customer servers or PCs using MyIVO Remote Desktop - to perform routine maintenance or technical support.

With "virtual on-site support", your pool of "expert" technicians can be made available to assist any customer without geographical constraints. The results are:

How To Start

Invite user to a Online Meeting - to provide technical assistance and to install software patches using MyIVO secure remote file transfer.

In the following example, the user needing technical assistance invites a technical support staff to his/her PC. The support staff and the user will share the same PC screen during the meeting session. The user authorize the technician to have "full control" so he/she can control the user's PC to provide support from remote.

  1. Send Invitations

    • In the system tray area, right click on the "MyIVO" icon .
    • Select "Send Meeting Invitation by" email, Skype, or IM.
    • Enter or select a guest id, then click the "Send Invitation" button.
    • Your guest does not have to be a registered MyIVO user.
       
  2. Grant Access to Guest
    When your guest has accepted the invitation (by clicking the invitation URL link, and then select "Accept Invitation"), you will be prompted with a "Grant Access Permission" Dialog on your desktop.
    • To grant access, click "Grant Permission".
    • The online meeting is now in session.

Remote Support and Applying patches

To allow the support staff to have full control of the PC and to apply patches from remote:


  1. Allow Additional Guest Privileges
    The default guest privilege is "View Only". When granting guest access, user may allow additional guest privileges.
    • Select "Full Control" and"File Transfer".
    • Select "Grant Access".

       

Other "expert" support staff can be invited to the same meeting session following the steps above.
