Invite Guest to a Web Meeting

Invite one or more remote users to a Web Meeting - to show presentations; review proposals; demonstrate applications; offer technical assistance; or to share files.

  1. Send Invitations

    • To invite a guest, in the system tray area, right click on the "MyIVO" icon .
    • Select "Send Meeting Invitation by" email, Skype, or IM.
    • Enter or select a guest id, then click the "Send Invitation" button.
    • Your guest does not have to be a registered MyIVO user.
       
  2. Start Meeting - Grant Access to Guest
    When your guest has accepted the invitation (by clicking the invitation URL link, and then select "Accept Invitation"), you will be prompted with a "Grant Access Permission" Dialog on your desktop.
    • To grant access, click "Grant Permission".
    • The Web meeting is now in session.

    To share files among meeting participants (upload & download files) from a "shared file folder", see "Allow Additional Guest Privileges".

Live Video
  1. Let your friend see you from anywhere in the world

    To allow a guest to see you via a video device such as a Webcam, start your Webcam application on your PC, then invite your guest to your PC. (The above screenshot illustrates what your guest would see remotely).
Guest Session Management
  1. Manage Outstanding Invitations
    To view outstanding invitations, double click on the "MyIVO" icon , and select "Guest Invitations"; You can also revoke an invitation by select the corresponding entry in the list and click "Revoke".
     
  2. Guest Session Control
    The invitation remains effective only to your current MyIVO session. The invitation will no longer be valid when the client disconnect, or if you reboot your computer or restart MyIVO server. To terminate a guest's session at anytime, bring up "Current Session" panel by opening the MyIVO manager (double click on "MyIVO" icon, and select "Current Sessions"). You can terminate a guest's session by selecting the corresponding entry in the list and click "Terminate".

  3. Allow Additional Guest Privileges
    The default guest privilege is "View Only". Before granting guest access, you may allow additional guest privileges.
    • Select "Full Control" and/or "File Transfer".
    • Specify an alternative file sharing (upload & download) directory if desired.
